Who may use it
Opening this site means accepting the clauses on this page. You have to be 18 or over and legally able to agree to them. If either part is untrue, close the page and send nothing to us.
Throughout these clauses, “the directory” means this website and “the operator” means whoever is responsible for running it. The operator's registered particulars and a working legal address go on this page before the site opens properly; until they do, nothing here implies that a particular company stands behind it.
What this site is, and what it is not
The directory prints two things: information advertisers hand over about themselves, and reviews that have passed moderation. That is the whole of it. It is not an agency and employs nobody it lists. It arranges no meetings, provides no transport and never sits between two people as a payment intermediary.
A listing appearing here is not a character reference. Neither publication, nor a moderation badge, nor a five-star review makes any promise about who a person is, whether their statements are true, whether they are safe to meet or what they will do tomorrow. Everyone remains responsible for obeying the law that applies to their own conduct.
What visitors must not do
- Use the site at all if you are under 18.
- Harass, threaten, blackmail, follow or impersonate anyone, or publish private details about them.
- Harvest listings to build another database, or republish them somewhere they were never meant to go.
- File invented reports, plant reviews, upload anything malicious, or work around the controls on the site.
- Read the existence of a listing as permission to ask for anything unlawful.
Access can be cut where behaviour puts people, systems, rights or the accuracy of what is published at risk. No warning is owed before that happens.
What an advertiser takes on
Anyone submitting a profile confirms they are an adult, that they are entitled to publish every photograph and every claim in it, that the people shown agreed to appear, and that they will correct what changes. Sending material for publication grants the directory permission to host, resize, format and display it for the purpose of running that listing — nothing wider, and no ownership changes hands.
That permission can be withdrawn by asking for the listing to come down. In the other direction, a submission can be refused, cut back, corrected or removed where the rules, someone's rights, the evidence or the law call for it.
Free listings and paid placement
Publishing costs nothing. Paid placement is optional, is offered only to a listing that has already been accepted, and does one thing: it puts that listing above the unpaid ones for a fixed term. It does not buy publication, a verification result, a fixed position, reviews, or any outcome at all.
Content and reviews
Whoever writes something stays responsible for it. Moderation happens before or after publication, but reading a submission is not the same as verifying it, and no amount of moderation prevents every misuse. A review is one person's account, published because it passed the rules — not because the directory agrees with it.
Anyone affected by what is published can use the removals and corrections route. A short record of what was decided may be kept afterwards, so the same material does not simply reappear and so a lawful question about the decision can be answered.
What is not promised
The site is offered as it stands and as it happens to be working. Listings change, vanish and contain mistakes. So far as the law allows, the operator does not promise that the site stays up, that a listing is accurate, or that any person named on it is who they say they are, behaves as described or produces the result someone hoped for.
Again so far as the law allows, the operator is not answerable for what independent users do, for messages exchanged elsewhere, for money anyone sends to anyone, or for decisions taken by trusting an unverified claim. Nothing in this clause removes a liability or a right that the law does not permit to be removed.
Changes, and where to ask
These clauses are rewritten when the site, the law or the risks change. The version in force and the date it took effect stay visible on this page, and a change applies from that date onwards rather than backwards. Carrying on using the site after it takes effect is how agreement is expressed.
No governing law or court is named here yet; that waits for the operator's own legal review, and in the meantime the rules that apply to the parties and to the conduct in question apply as they always did. Questions go through whichever channel is live on the contact page.
